Dr Leigh Graves Wolf – University College Dublin

Title:
Teaching the Teachers: Supportive Pedagogy for Educator Professional Development

Abstract:
This session will provide attendees with a brief overview of how adult learning theory and pedagogies of care underpin the design and continued (re)development of the University College Dublin Professional Programme in University Teaching and Learning (UTL) module Becoming a Better University Teacher. In addition to a brief overview of theory, we will engage in a collaborative learning experience which demonstrates engaging (and potentially even fun!) pedagogical practices. Attendees will leave the session with resources for their own teaching toolkits and will contribute to collective resource sharing.
