My name is Baisat Alawiye and I am currently a Primary school student teacher who studies in Maynooth University. I am passionate about social justice, particularly Racism and Islamophobia. I am also passionate about encouraging teachers and schools to become more culturally inclusive and diverse. I am this years recipient of the Presidents award from Maynooth University and have worked on various Anti racism projects.
