The Erasmus+ CUTE (Competences in Universities – using Technology in Education) project has been exploring a range of issues associated with the CPD (continuing professional development) of academic staff. In particular, it has focused on the use of DigCompEdu as a framework, using it as the basis for a number of innovations, projects, and training programmes in the partner institutions. The project has developed a number of tools which are released under an open licence and which can help those responsible for educational development, as well as individual staff members, identify their strengths and areas for enhancement. The tools also include a light touch project management ‘canvas’. In addition, the project has captured views and opinions to help inform future practice and the next version of DigCompEdu.
