About

The International Conference on Engaging Pedagogies (ICEP) is an annual event that brings together researchers and practitioners in the field of third-level teaching in order to discuss means and methods of improving student engagement. The conference format includes standard paper and poster presentations intermingled with workshops and panel style discussions. This is the fourth year of the ICEP conference series, its aim to further discussion and collaboration amongst researchers and practitioners in third level teaching and learning. In particular, the founders noticed that students appeared to be less engaged with material with each passing year. The conference is themed around this: how can we as educators make education more engaging for the students?

The first ICEP conference was in 2008 and has taken place in NUI Maynooth, University College Dublin and Griffith College Dublin. The 2011 conference takes place in the National College of Ireland (NCI).
