||The purpose of our research is to discover whether gamification can allow students to develop a habit of studying. Habits require a person to want to act out the behaviour. Studying is a task many students choose not to do. However they must because of upcoming exams or class tests. Games are systems that allow people to play for hours, and to become immersed in the world the game creates. Gamification tries to take some of the elements from games and apply them to systems which are not themselves games; Thereby increasing the engagement people have with these systems.
